Confluences opens in Miami

Exhibition ’Confluences’, Artium Gallery, Wynwood Art District, Miami. Artists: Ulla Karttunen, Aneka Ingold, Ann Friedlander, Bojana Randall, Brooks Dierdorff, Chijia He, Frank Izquierdo, Garry Harley, Gilberto Frómeta, Hannah Moon, Jack Long, Jean Wetta, Jesus Hdez-Güero, Joanne Delomba, Jony Hernandez, Karla Kantorovich, Kathy Kuser, Luis Cortines, Nathaly Calle, Olusola Akintunde, Roberto Koltun, Santiago Echeverry, Tom Wheeler, and Zeren Badar

The opening reception of the exhibition Confluences will be on December 8th 2017, 8pm, at Artium Gallery in Miami.

The exhibition shows the works of the awarded artists in The International Contemporary Art Competition, organised by Open Art Miami. The contest gathered hundreds of visual artists from 29 countries in the Americas, Europe and Asia. The curators of the exhibition are Vicky Romay and Hortensia Montero.

The awards were delivered in four sections: digital art, painting, photography, and drawing. Ulla Karttunen was awarded the 1. Honor Mention in the digital arts section.

Donna Florale Awarded in International Art Competition

Ulla Karttunen was awarded in The International Contemporary Art Competition 2017, organized by Open Art Miami, by Honor Mention in Digital Art, for her digital collage Donna Florale.

The artwork has just been shown in Paris, at a gallery in Marais and artfair in Carrousel du Louvre.

Nominated as an Open Art Miami finalist

Open Art Miami finalists; the Finnish artist Ulla Karttunen nominated in the Digital Art section

The International Contemporary Art Competition 2017, organized by Open Art Miami, has presented the decisions by the Selection Committee. Over 2000 works of art were received from all over the world, mostly from United States, Canada, Spain, France, Italy, Japan, among other nations.

Ulla Karttunen was nominated as a finalist in the Digital Art section.
